Basic Fire Awareness Hands On Training

This is a two part Course. First the Trainee will complete the Basic Fire Awareness course online, detailed below:

The Basic Fire Awareness Course provides employees with adequate Fire Safety Training in compliance with The Fire Safety Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010. The Trainee will have the ability to make safe, prompt and effective decisions when required. What to do in the event of a fire. Know how to identify the different classes of fire and identify the best extinguisher type to use. The Trainee will learn what a fire risk is and how to avoid fire risks through good house keeping.
The syllabus detailed below will take approximately 1 hour 30 minutes to complete:

• Fire Safety Tutorial Videos
• Fire Safety Tutorial
• Fire Safety Game
• Fire Safety Assessment (20 questions on basic fire awareness)

First 2 sections must be viewed before the Fire Safety Assessment.

First 3 sections can be repeated.

The second part of the course provides practical hands on training, leaving the trainee with the necessary knowledge and skills to enable them to deal with small fires safely using portable fire extinguishers. The hands on training is tailored to suit your organisations policies, procedures and fire fighting equipment. Training can be conducted at your facilities for total convenience. The practical hands on training will take approximately 1 hour to complete, depending on the size of the group being trained.

Basic Fire Awareness Hands On Course costs £50.00 per Trainee.

A certificate will automatically email once the Basic Fire Awareness course is completed. An 80% pass is required.

The online course has been designed to allow the Trainee freedom to start and stop the training to suit them and your business.

Refreshers are recommended at 12 month intervals.
